Recent Work
A selection of construction projects I have been recently involved with are:
- Duty holder for the electrical installation for Caledonian Group, including sites 1 and 2. This role takes responsibility for the maintenance and servicing of all associated electrical equipment to ensure the factories are kept running, with the extremely valuable support of Mathew Redfearn. (MR Electrical Hull)
- Electrical, Mechanical and Construction Consultant for Caledonian Modular.
- Designing valued engineered installations, including all associated drawings and calculation to support the same. Including in this process is to provide details work programme methodology, linked directly to work in progress values related to the price created by myself.
- Full responsibility to procure materials for all maintenance and housing projects, working with the purchasing team.
- Managing Sub-
contractors and direct employees related to the factory production. - Development of a new range of modular houses for Mar City Homes, including every every part of the building from concept to working solutions. The design includes all associated CAD drawings and calculations to back up the design accordingly.
- Interfacing the modular design into the traditional construction side, including services and foundations.
Including, but necessarily limited to the work listed above, I have dedicated time to modular and commercial installations, including Modulex India.

Although my former title was “Services Director” I was also involved with pricing multi storey accommodation blocks from underground services to the roof, including all elements to a complete furnished building.
As part of these tasks I am constantly studying British and Indian standards for improved compliance and low or neutral carbon solutions.
Over the last three and a half years, up to December 2014 I have also been Caledonian Modular’s Services Site Duty Holder and Group Services Manager, reporting direct to the MD. www.caledonianmodular.com
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
• Purchasing materials for complete maintenance of Caledonian Newark site and Driffield sites.
• Organising labour to carry out all maintenance accordingly.
• Creating / updating site CAD drawings to as fitted.
• Testing and inspection of all services, including emergency repairs.
• Overseeing all M&E projects within the factory in relation to a 50 million per annum turn over.
• Carrying out inspection on site throughout the country from start to hand over for all Caledonian projects.
• Providing technical and value assessments that the M&E contractors are compliant with the specification from tender to completion.
• Making assessments on renovating existing, including adding additional modular space, interfacing them together.
• Designing and pricing a new modular housing project for MarCity.
• Designing to provide a cost effective solution for five hundred houses per annum minimum.
• Proving full design drawings and design calculations for the projects associated with my responsibilities.
• Responsible for materials and labour for all Caledonian houses.
• Overseeing the housing projects on site to completion.
• Since December 2014 I have been working on a consultant basis, including pricing accommodation for Caledonian, while also providing design development services for local companies.
• Modulex Modular Buildings Pvt Ltd, India. Although I have been involved with Modulex for over 15 years, I was asked to join the Indian team in India on the 15th of March 2025 to assist in the setup of the new factory, including communicating with customers and working as the head of design and technology.
